413-12: House passed legislation awarding three congressional gold medals to the US Capitol Police and those who protected the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Bill now heads to the Senate. //t.co/bXLxZVFRAJ pic.twitter.com/ZOMJgzWDOV
Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs, Andy Harris, Lance Gooden, Michael Cloud, Andrew Clyde, Bob Good, Greg Steube, and John Rose.

Far right MAGA acolyte Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida also voted against the bill.

"“It's just offensive that we literally log-rolled recognition of the Capitol Police," the Florida Republican told reporters. "We had to combine it with these editorial comments about the January 6 sequence of events, and... logroll it with this exhibit at the Smithsonian... that was a little much for me."

Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie also offered some remarks on his "nay" vote.

“I have a problem with the term 'insurrection'," Massie said as his reason for voting against the bill. "It could have implications for somebody's prosecution."

He also took issue with this part of the bill: "The desecration of the U.S. Capitol, which is the temple of our American Democracy, and the violence targeting Congress are horrors that will for6

ever stain our Nation's history."

"But here's what we do know: The public is well and truly tired of seeing the powerful get special treatment," wrote the board. "Ridiculously preferential treatment is written right into the Kansas Constitution, which says that lawmakers can't be arrested during the legislative session 'except for treason, felony or breach of the peace.' If you know of any Black person in the land who has driven in the wrong direction for 10 minutes and walked away, we'd love to hear about it. Or if you know of any average Kansan who has managed that, tell us about it."

Although the judge ordered Suellentrop's release, the case is ongoing, reported KSNT: "According to Kansas Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Candice Breshears a blood sample was taken from Suellentrop and that sample was submitted to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Forensic Science Center for analysis."

Fight for the Future says Invisiclip—invented by high school seniors Evan Alfandre and Will McCormack—covers the wearer's nose, is "minimally invasive," and is effective against multiple facial recognition technologies.
"最初，我们只是想在我们的项目中获得一个，" he added, "但是当我们意识到我们可以真正有所作为，我们的目标发生了变化。"
"我们发现未来的斗争是这一领域的领先活动家组，" said Alfandre, "所以我们与他们联系在努力分享想法，宣传我们的发明，并保持人们的安全。"
为未来的竞选主任Caitlin Seeley George表示"什么时候和evan向我们伸出援手，我们对他们的聪明才智留下了深刻的印象，也有点悲伤。"
"高中生不应该'T必须担心监控技术如何威胁其权利及其未来，" she said. "I remember reading Nineteen Eighty-Four在高中，但这些日子里的孩子们都在生活它。那's just wrong."
